A table of elliptic curves over the cubic field of discriminant -23
Let F be the cubic field of discriminant -23 and O its ring of integers. Let
Gamma be the arithmetic group GL_2 (O), and for any ideal n subset O let
Gamma_0 (n) be the congruence subgroup of level n. In a previous paper, two of
us (PG and DY) computed the cohomology of various Gamma_0 (n), along with the
action of the Hecke operators. The goal of that paper was to test the
modularity of elliptic curves over F. In the present paper, we complement and
extend this prior work in two ways. First, we tabulate more elliptic curves
than were found in our prior work by using various heuristics ("old and new"
cohomology classes, dimensions of Eisenstein subspaces) to predict the
existence of elliptic curves of various conductors, and then by using more
sophisticated search techniques (for instance, torsion subgroups, twisting, and
the Cremona-Lingham algorithm) to find them. We then compute further invariants
of these curves, such as their rank and representatives of all isogeny classes.
Our enumeration includes conjecturally the first elliptic curves of ranks 1 and
2 over this field, which occur at levels of norm 719 and 9173 respectively
Initiating Change of People With Criminal Justice Involvement Through Participation in a Drama Project: An Exploratory Study
Introduction: Innovative and interdisciplinary approaches are needed to improve mental health and psychosocial outcomes of people with criminal justice involvement and their families. Aim of the study was to assess effects of the participation in a theatre project on the mental health problems of people with criminal justice involvement and relatives.
Methods: We conducted structured diagnostic interviews and in-depth qualitative interviews with five participants performing Shakespeare's Richard III in Chile. Three participants had been imprisoned prior to the project, and two were the parents of a person who died in a prison fire. Qualitative interviews followed a topic guide. Data were transcribed, and a six-phase approach for thematic analysis of the data was used.
Results: Substance use disorder or major depression was identified in all the participants. Participation in the theatre project was experienced by the respondents as having a positive effect on the mental health conditions. The research registered the positive experiences of role identification, emotional expression, commitment with group processes, improved skills to socially interact, to be heard by the general public and society, and positive perceptions of the audience (including relatives).
Discussion: The study raises the possibility that there may be improvements of depression and substance use problems through the participation of people with criminal justice involvement in a drama project. Wider scale research is recommended on the possible effects. The approach may be an alternative to psychotherapy and medication for some individuals

ZnO Nanopartikel werden nasschemisch synthetisiert und als aktives Halbleitermaterial in Dioden und Transistoren verwendet. Bei der elektrischen Charakterisierung der ZnO Nanopartikel Dioden wird ein starker Einfluà der Partikelgeometrie auf das Kennlinienverhalten deutlich. Im Vergleich mit Dioden aus gesputtertem ZnO zeigen die Kennlinien der Dioden aus ZnO Nanopartikeln ein invertiertes Durchlassverhalten. Die Ursache dieser Invertierung wird untersucht und erklÀrt. An Transistoren auf der Basis von ZnO Nanopartikeln wird der Einfluà von verschiedenen AthmosphÀren demonstriert und die zugrundeliegenden Effekte erörtert
Violation of the `Zero-Force Theorem' in the time-dependent Krieger-Li-Iafrate approximation
We demonstrate that the time-dependent Krieger-Li-Iafrate approximation in
combination with the exchange-only functional violates the `Zero-Force
Theorem'. By analyzing the time-dependent dipole moment of Na5 and Na9+, we
furthermore show that this can lead to an unphysical self-excitation of the
system depending on the system properties and the excitation strength.
Analytical aspects, especially the connection between the `Zero-Force Theorem'
and the `Generalized-Translation Invariance' of the potential, are discussed.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
Incorporation of extracellular 8-oxodG into DNA and RNA requires purine nucleoside phosphorylase in MCF-7 cells
7,8-Dihydro-8-oxo-2âČ-deoxyguanosine (8-oxodG) is a well-known marker of oxidative stress. We report a mechanistic analysis of several pathways by which 8-oxodG is converted to nucleotide triphosphates and incorporated into both DNA and RNA. Exposure of MCF-7 cells to [14C]8-oxodG combined with specific inhibitors of several nucleotide salvage enzymes followed with accelerator mass spectrometry provided precise quantitation of the resulting radiocarbon-labeled species. Concentrations of exogenously dosed nucleobase in RNA reached one per 106 nucleotides, 5â6-fold higher than the maximum observed in DNA. Radiocarbon incorporation into DNA and RNA was abrogated by Immucillin H, an inhibitor of human purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP). Inhibition of ribonucleotide reductase (RR) decreased the radiocarbon content of the DNA, but not in RNA, indicating an important role for RR in the formation of 8-oxodG-derived deoxyribonucleotides. Inhibition of deoxycytidine kinase had little effect on radiocarbon incorporation in DNA, which is in contrast to the known ability of mammalian cells to phosphorylate dG. Our data indicate that PNP and RR enable nucleotide salvage of 8-oxodG in MCF-7 cells, a previously unrecognized mechanism that may contribute to mutagenesis and carcinogenesis
Experimental demonstration of ground state laser cooling with electromagnetically induced transparency
Ground state laser cooling of a single trapped ion is achieved using a
technique which tailors the absorption profile for the cooling laser by
exploiting electromagnetically induced transparency in the Zeeman structure of
a dipole transition. This new method is robust, easy to implement and proves
particularly useful for cooling several motional degrees of freedom
simultaneously, which is of great practical importance for the implementation

SODALITE@RT: Orchestrating Applications on Cloud-Edge Infrastructures
AbstractIoT-based applications need to be dynamically orchestrated on cloud-edge infrastructures for reasons such as performance, regulations, or cost. In this context, a crucial problem is facilitating the work of DevOps teams in deploying, monitoring, and managing such applications by providing necessary tools and platforms. The SODALITE@RT open-source framework aims at addressing this scenario. In this paper, we present the main features of the SODALITE@RT: modeling of cloud-edge resources and applications using open standards and infrastructural code, and automated deployment, monitoring, and management of the applications in the target infrastructures based on such models. The capabilities of the SODALITE@RT are demonstrated through a relevant case study
Raman spectroscopy of a single ion coupled to a high-finesse cavity
We describe an ion-based cavity-QED system in which the internal dynamics of
an atom is coupled to the modes of an optical cavity by vacuum-stimulated Raman
transitions. We observe Raman spectra for different excitation polarizations
and find quantitative agreement with theoretical simulations. Residual motion
of the ion introduces motional sidebands in the Raman spectrum and leads to ion
delocalization. The system offers prospects for cavity-assisted
resolved-sideband ground-state cooling and coherent manipulation of ions and

The epidemiology of injuries across the weight-training sports
Background: Weight-training sports, including weightlifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, Highland Games, and CrossFit, are weight-training sports that have separate divisions for males and females of a variety of ages, competitive standards, and bodyweight classes. These sports may be considered dangerous because of the heavy loads commonly used in training and competition. Objectives: Our objective was to systematically review the injury epidemiology of these weight-training sports, and, where possible, gain some insight into whether this may be affected by age, sex, competitive standard, and bodyweight class. Methods: We performed an electronic search using PubMed, SPORTDiscus, CINAHL, and Embase for injury epidemiology studies involving competitive athletes in these weight-training sports. Eligible studies included peer-reviewed journal articles only, with no limit placed on date or language of publication. We assessed the risk of bias in all studies using an adaption of the musculoskeletal injury review method. Results: Only five of the 20 eligible studies had a risk of bias score â„75 %, meaning the risk of bias in these five studies was considered low. While 14 of the studies had sample sizes >100 participants, only four studies utilized a prospective design. Bodybuilding had the lowest injury rates (0.12â0.7 injuries per lifter per year; 0.24â1 injury per 1000 h), with strongman (4.5â6.1 injuries per 1000 h) and Highland Games (7.5 injuries per 1000 h) reporting the highest rates. The shoulder, lower back, knee, elbow, and wrist/hand were generally the most commonly injured anatomical locations; strains, tendinitis, and sprains were the most common injury type. Very few significant differences in any of the injury outcomes were observed as a function of age, sex, competitive standard, or bodyweight class. Conclusion: While the majority of the research we reviewed utilized retrospective designs, the weight-training sports appear to have relatively low rates of injury compared with common team sports. Future weight-training sport injury epidemiology research needs to be improved, particularly in terms of the use of prospective designs, diagnosis of injury, and changes in risk exposure
